Janette grew up in a home where handwork of excellent quality was appreciated. Quilting, knitting and crocheting were part of everyday life. Learn to Tat is a tribute to her mother and Grandmother for instilling in her the love of all handwork.
Janette’s first exposure to tatting was through a gift given to her on her 16th birthday by an Aunt. The desire to tat was born with that beautiful gift. From her own experience of learning to tat, Janette realized the need for clear and precise instructions. Her attention to detail and her experiences as a tatting teacher have produced this excellent “How to” book of tatting.
Karen Lindsay furthered Janette’s desire to tat by sharing her remarkable tatting patterns. Karen’s talent as a designer is unparalled.
